Our Story

Clean Beauty with Amazonian Roots

Pepelyn Beauty was born from roots, memory, and the kind of care that is passed from one generation to the next, even before we know how to name it.

My story begins with the women who shaped the way I understand beauty: my mother and grandmother, both born in Iquitos, Peru. Growing up, care was never just about appearance. It was practical, loving, and deeply connected to nature. It lived in the oils, plants, textures, aromas, and handmade rituals that were part of our South American traditions.

Those memories stayed with me.

Years later, when I began creating skincare, I realized that the ingredients, traditions, and botanical wisdom I grew up with were not separate from who I was. They were part of my story. Part of my roots. Part of the beauty I wanted to share.

I also realized something deeper: I wanted Peru to stay in people’s memory.

Yes, Peru is the land of the Incas and Machu Picchu, but it is so much more than that. Peru is culture, diversity, color, aroma, tradition, and extraordinary botanical richness. It is the Amazon, the Andes, vibrant markets, ancestral ingredients, and plants that have accompanied generations through rituals of care, connection, and everyday beauty.

Pepelyn Beauty was born from that desire: to share a piece of Peru with the world through beauty.

Inspired by the botanical richness of the Peruvian Amazon and the Andes, Pepelyn Beauty transforms inherited beauty into modern botanical rituals for today’s skin. Each formula is created with intention, blending Latin American botanical inspiration, sensorial textures, and a gentle approach to skincare.

Our rituals are inspired by ingredients with a story: camu camu, known for its connection to the Amazon; Peruvian purple corn, a symbol of color, tradition, and antioxidant-inspired care; copaiba, cacay, and sacha inchi, botanical oils that bring a nourishing and sensorial feel; muña and quinoa, inspired by the richness of the Andes; and carefully selected flowers, butters, and oils that help support the skin with softness and comfort.

Every ingredient has a purpose.

Meet the Founder

Formulated from real life. Inspired by care.

I have loved cosmetics for as long as I can remember.

As a little girl, whenever I walked into a store, the first place I wanted to visit was always the beauty and body care aisle. I was drawn to the textures, aromas, colors, and the quiet feeling that a simple product could become a special moment of care.

But Pepelyn Beauty truly began with a personal need.

In 2016, my son was born. When he was about one year old, we discovered that his skin was extremely sensitive. Coming from South America, where many forms of care felt more natural, intuitive, and handmade, I found myself returning to the traditions I grew up with.

I wanted to create something gentle for him: a cream that felt nourishing, simple, and comforting, without fragrance or ingredients that could feel harsh on his delicate skin.

That need led me to study natural cosmetic formulation.

The more I learned, the more I understood how to bring together two worlds: the inherited beauty of my mother and grandmother, and the science, technique, and structure of modern cosmetic formulation.

Pepelyn Beauty became the place where those two worlds meet.

In 2018, I attended my first market with my products. I was nervous because many of the ingredients I was using were deeply connected to my culture and botanical heritage, and I did not know how people would receive them. To my surprise, I sold everything.

That moment showed me that people were not only open to something different—they were also drawn to products with story, intention, and soul.

Since then, every Pepelyn product has been born from a real need.

The facial cream was created when I needed a more complete routine in less time, especially after becoming a mother for the second time. The lash serum was inspired by my sister and the way she cared for her lashes. The body oil was created for my husband to use after shaving. The gentle face cream was created with my mother in mind, because her skin is very sensitive and she needed something that could feel soft and comfortable. The moringa cream was inspired by my son’s skin needs. The body lotion was created for me, because I love the bright scent of orange and the feeling of deeply nourished skin. The shimmer products were created for my friends, who love to glow during summer and the holidays.

Today, many formulas are also inspired by the needs of my clients.

When they began asking for a tallow cream, I wanted to create something with an added layer of intention: a rich, nourishing, sensorial formula with botanical retinol alternatives, created for a softer and more conscious night ritual.

As a natural cosmetic formulator, I create each product in small batches with carefully selected ingredients, botanical inspiration, and a gentle approach to skin.

With every formula, I want to share the simplicity of nature, the beauty of inherited care, and the confidence of knowing that what you apply to your skin was created with intention.

I want to take you, even for a moment, back to nature: to its aromas, textures, colors, and rituals. I want you to feel happy, safe, connected to yourself, and at peace with what you choose for your skin.
